Chocolate Chip Brownies
So in my spare time I enjoy baking, it helps me to relax and forget about hard days!! Try to find something you enjoy and can distract you from the hard times. Ill post some of my favorite treats and maybe even post a video and you can all see how good I am at burning the sim

Everyone loves chocolate brownies!!
For this simple recipe this is what you will need: 80g butter 40g unsweetened cocoa powder 145g Sugar 2 eggs 60g Plain Flour ½ teaspoon baking powder 100g chocolate chips 20 x 30cm tin or 8 x 12 in shallow baking tin (Or whatever you have that will suit, i went to the store and purchased one which had a cover on it saying brownie tin, i did not look at measurements). This recipe will take around 15minutes to prepare and 30 minutes to bake, it will make around 12 brownies but i suppose that all depends how you cut them! If like me you cut them unbelievably large!! Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F or Gas mark 4) grease your baking tin and line it will baking paper, if you don’t have baking paper, i normally just cut off a lump of butter and smudge it around the tin, make sure you get it into the corners and up the sides. Melt the butter in a saucepan, (be careful it can burn really easy) stir in the cocoa and sugar, and add the eggs, really just pop it all into a saucepan and give it a good old mix! Sift the flour, baking powder and a pinch of salt into the saucepan, and then mix it all up again. After this add the chocolate chips! Pour the mixture into the tin and back for 30 minutes, I find in my Gas cooker that turning the tin half way through the cooking time helps keep it even, be careful and do it quick as you don’t want to let too much heat out! (My mother always told me that when we baked) Check to see if your brownies are done by inserting a skewer into the middle of the mixture and if it comes out clean then they are ready to come out of the over. I find when it is coming close to the 30 minutes; keep a close eye on the brownies as it can go from lovely mouth-watering brownies to dry brownies very quick! (Keep in mind that you put chocolate chips in the brownies and you may hit one of these, due to the heat they will have meted so you skewer may be covered in chocolate from the chips). Once you have removed the brownies from the oven leave them to cool in the tin. Do not try to remove them from the tin or try to cut them while they are still warm. No matter how tempted you are to try them. Once they are cool you can then remove them from the tin, using a knife cut around the outside of the tin and then cut them into squares, using the knife of a spatula. Enjoy the yummy brownies either with some vanilla ice cream or fresh whipped cream! I hope you enjoy baking as much as I do and the yummy brownies from this recipe.
